Spiritline went to AZ state March 3. Taybree Clayton, junior Varsity spiritline member, is excited to go to state because the team gets to show off their school spirit and show off the skills they have been improving on all year.

They did a lot of things to prepare for state, which included working on their timing throughout their whole routine, staying positive throughout, and hitting their stunts.

Taybree said that she loves her teammates, stunting, and her coaches. “Without my coaches, spiritline wouldn’t be the same and my teammates have increased my confidence and are so caring.”

If she could change one thing, she would change that their practices are at 6am, but other than that, she’s been happy to be on the team. She is planning on doing spiritline all throughout high school.

Gracie Elsworth, a freshman, is not going to go to state but loves to support her teammates. She tried out for Spiritline because she loves to dance and thought it would be a great opportunity going into high school.

Her goals for next year are to “Make varsity pom, because I love everything that pom does, I’m so fascinated by them” She is hoping to make Varsity Pom next year because she is fascinated by the things that Pom does. She plans to be apart of Spiritline for all four years of high school .

With just one year of being in Spiritline she has already improved so much. One thing she would change is the morning practices to afternoon practices.

Being in Spiritline is all about learning new things and being a part of a wonderful team, and making new friends. All spiritline placed, Pom placed 4th, Cheer placed 2nd. All girl stunt placed 3rd, and JV placed 3rd as well.
