Teachers are complaining about students playing the popular video game “Fortnite.” Originally for PC and Console, the game just recently released a mobile version for IOS and it has become a quote-on-quote addiction amongst students at HHS. In class, at lunch, and even in the hallways students can’t seem to stop playing this popular game around campus. The largest issue is in the classroom. Students have their phones under their desks trying to achieve that “Victory Royale” instead of paying attention in class, and teachers aren’t too happy about that. Mrs. Teichert, a junior English teacher, said, “I find it disrespectful when students play Fortnite instead of paying attention when I’m teaching.” She also reported that a student in her class said “I NEED IT”  like he had a true addiction and couldn’t go 10 minutes without playing Fortnite on his phone. Most students would agree that it’s hard to go a school day without Fortnite.
